Updates occur automatically whenever you plug in your USB device. If you would also like to do a manual scan, you can access this feature from the main console of the interface. Mcafee VirusScan USB automatically scans your USB drive for viruses. The AVG Rescue CD also has other useful utilities, including Memtest86+ (run at boot) and a file recovery tool. VirusScan USB provides active and advanced protection. Use the space bar to make your selections and hit OK to start scanning. You'll have the choice of scanning volumes or a directory only.
